You start at padel ? You fell in love with this sport to the point that you decided to abandon your racket sport strings to switch to padel. The problem ? You can't control the rebound on the glass. We help you.

This is certainly one of the most common problems among gamers. beginners à intermediate leagues who start playing padel and which begin with the rebounds on the windows: where and how to position yourself to defend the balls. Very often, the solution that we find is to put the pala in opposition so as not to let it pass...

But you wanted to deal with the problem in depth. You have made the decision to take lessons, and now you understand how to do it, preparation, placement, impact, end of gesture, everything is perfect. But when the match comes, catastrophe, you are still too far away...

The “retreat to jump better” method

The idea is the following. If at the start of the game you can't get the balls out of the window, they are too far from you, then let a few pass to see where the second rebound on the ground will be. You risk losing 1,2 or even 3 points at the start of the game, but then you will have understood where to place yourself to recover your opponents' balls.

We agree that at a beginner level, players don't vary their ball speed a lot so chances are that the bounce will very often be the same. We are talking about a second rebound that will be beyond the service line, usually less than 2 meters from it.
At an intermediate level, this technique can be applied during high balls. Your opponents are accelerating and you are still far after rebounding on the glass? By doing so, you will better know how to position yourself to recover from attacks.

Find a solution

Le padel is a game of placements, of positions on the track. As long as you haven't assimilated the speeds, the rebounds, the effects, and acquired this experience which will allow you to be comfortable in defense and especially with the window exits, a solution must be found. Maybe this technique will work for you, because once you understand your opponents' rebound and lose a few points early in the game, you'll be proud of yourself afterwards and ready to fight for victory. Let's go!
