And this news does not come alone! Indeed, the document in question also tells us that there will also be 17 countries in the girls' category, since the team of the United Arab Emirates, the new host country, will also be able to participate in the competition.

Finally, as you will see in the document below, these two countries will each time join the group of France, seeded 4 for both men and women.

Qatar, the nation originally chosen to organize the competition and which had finally withdrawn, therefore won its case. With this decision, the FIP gives reason to the Qatari leaders who felt that it was unfair that their team (the country has no women's team) did not have the opportunity to qualify for the tournament. Indeed, as host country, its participation was initially guaranteed but it was finally granted to the United Arab Emirates when the organization of the tournament was entrusted to them.

For the very first time, there will therefore be 34 teams (17 women's and 17 men's) in the final phase of a World Cup padel !
