What if the world championships in padel 2020 became the most beautiful competition ever held in the padel ?

If it is still too early to tell, the Qatar Tennis, Squash and padel seems to have put enormous resources into enabling this competition to shine on all continents.

An exceptional site

We no longer present the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. Owned by the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) whose president is none other than Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the current President of PSG, the site is particularly known for its many professional tennis tournaments or the world championships of Squash. The club also hosted these two sports during the 2006 Asian Games.

“Perhaps the most beautiful tournament”

The captain of the French women's team, Robin Haziza is unequivocal:

“It is perhaps the most beautiful tournament of padel in which I participated. The infrastructures are exceptional.

The world championships padel take advantage of the facilities of the Qatar Tennis Federation.

They replaced all tennis courts with tennis courts. padel. The site is just amazing. The spaces are fabulous. We have the right to receive a treat from the host country. ”

Men's coach Alexis Salles continues:

“The host country undoubtedly offers the best in terms of infrastructure in the padel. The players are in optimal condition to offer their best padel. "

Players acclimatize and prepare for the competition

Robin Haziza returned to this first day yesterday and to the program for this Sunday before the start of hostilities:

“We did a first training session for the girls yesterday morning without Alix and Léa. They arrived too late at night.

With the 6 other players, under an oppressive heat, 30 degrees from 10 am, we had to get used to. We then had a long discussion before our 19pm session, which turned out to be very interesting. The conditions here were perfect: nightfall, 25 degrees with the little hot wind. The girls were able to train all 8. They are in good shape.

Today, last training session, we are discussing between us to prepare for the competition tomorrow.

We will take advantage of the beautiful opening ceremony scheduled for the end of the day. ”

On the men's side, the same state of mind. Alexis tells us more:

We played at 7, because Benjamin preferred to rest yesterday morning. Warming up after a day of travel for the players, training to get your bearings. In the evening it was much better.

Long meetings, talks with all the players. The Hazing of the 4 new (girls and boys), with a great atmosphere: good times!

Practice this Sunday at 10:30 am.
