It was after a very solid match from Sanyo Gutierrez and Fernando Belasteguin that they won the World Padel Tour Vigo Cupra Open 2021.

The Argentines managed to win in an intense and emotional match.

Di Nenno and Navarro beating drum

This Sunday May 16 is a very special day for the young Martin Di Nenno which associated with the hurracan of Sevilla, plays its first final during a World Padel Tour.

During this tournament in Galician soil, the young man responded and succeeded in asserting himself in all his contested matches.

Indeed with his Andalusian teammate, they managed to eliminate the numbers 1 in 1/2 final.

From the start of the match we find a Paquito Navarro aggressive and a Martin Di Nenno strong in defense.

The Hispano - Argentinian pair, sure of herself at the start of the game, wants to show that it is now necessary to count on her. On the other side of the field sanyo gutierrez et Fernando Belasteguin are warned!

Navarro and Di Nenno managed to win 6-4 in a mastered first set.

Argentines regain control

The second set begins with a bang and the two teams surrender in this intense duel.

Fernando Belasteguin et sanyo gutierrez pushed into their entrenchments manage to regain control despite an extremely tight game. They deploy their game and master all their shots perfectly to overcome their rivals in a second game to their advantage (6-4).

A beautiful end

The third set delighted us with the play of the four players on the field.

On the one hand we had the ardor of Navarro and Di Nenno, on the other the experience and the will to slow down on the Sanyo and Bela side.

El Boss and el Mago de San Luis continued to practice their padel, slower than that of their rivals, but just as offensive and decisive.

We saw a demonstration from them at the end of the match thanks to their solidity and consistency in their play.

Fearsome, they send the third round by a 6-2 relatively easily and thus manage to win their second title of the season.

Final score :

  • Fernando Belasteguin - sanyo gutierrez / Paquito Navarro - Martin Di Nenno : 4-6 / 6-4 / 6-2.

Once again, they show us that despite an increasingly fast and offensive style of play and terrains, experience can make all the difference and that they are always just as adaptable to each opponent.

“We wanted to play our style of play with Bela and it paid off” confided Sanyo at Nacho Palencia's microphone during the usual post-match interview.

Second title in three tournaments for these two legends who have found each other well and intend to continue to delight us throughout this season!

Surprisingly the finals of this Vigo Open, just like the men's semi-finals yesterday, saw the pair who lost the first set win! One more proof that we must never stop believing in padel !
