It's a bit like the castle of the Star Academy, but more modern: a few days ago we presented the villa in Barcelona where the Spanish brand Nox launched its own academy.

The idea is to welcome ten young South American players in a “mansion” in optimal conditions. We find Leo Augsburger and Tino Libaak, aged 18 and 17, who had created a sensation during the WPT Buenos Aires Master.

Alongside them, other young recruits whose names are not yet known to the general public, but among whom may be the nuggets of tomorrow: Ramiro Valenzuela, Dylan Cuello, Teo Gamondi, Valentín San Juan, Sebastián Rodríguez, Samuel Rodríguez, Brian Cabrera, Facu Dehnike. Some are already world team champions and/or number ones in their respective categories and regions.

For Nox brand which counts among its stars Agustín Tapia, Miguel Lamperti or the Alayeto sisters, the models were the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor (Mallorca) or the Masía of FC Barcelona. In addition to sports training, the project aims to be a school of life that conveys values such as honesty, camaraderie, sportsmanship, discipline or commitment.

The president of Nox Jesús Ballvé surrounded by Pablo Crosetti and Paula Ballvé

On the sporting level, Pablo Crosetti, coach of Agustín Tapia, is in charge of coordinating training schedules and competition planning, accompanying the players in their sporting development. The management of the residence and group life is entrusted to Paula Ballvé, herself a former top athlete with extensive experience in the management of residences for elite athletes.

Only one thing is still missing from this beautiful project: the equivalent for the future stars of the padel feminine !

To see the residence in which the players are housed, just follow the guide Manu Martin, on his channel Mejora Tu Padel.

After 40 years of tennis, Jérôme falls into the pot of padel in 2018. Since then, he thinks about it every morning while shaving… but never shaves pala in hand! Journalist in Alsace, he has no other ambition than to share his passion with you, whether you speak French, Italian, Spanish or English.
