Play at padel in the middle of summer is a sign of good times shared with friends but also a sign of physical suffering compared to the heat. Here are some tips for better management.

Play at padel when the weather is hot requires knowledge of your body, its capabilities and its resistance. If you are not yet that type of person who manages his body perfectly, take these tips to help you combine sport, leisure and performance in these summer months.

Hydration

This is the first and above all the most important point when it comes to playing a padel. On hot days, we will sweat a lot more than usual, so we lose water. Do not hesitate to start drinking on a regular basis 30 minutes before your game or your workout, continue to do so during the change of sides, and also after the game. This is the only way to recover the water that you will lose.

Food

Like it or not, food is very important when summer comes. We eat more light things like salads… or barbecues. Consider having a good breakfast with fruits and cereals which will give you the necessary energy for the day. Summer is the season for fruit and vegetables so take advantage of it, add color and freshness to your plates.

Protection

We can never talk about it enough, but protecting yourself from the sun and the heat is very important. Cap, sunscreen and suitable clothing such as a technical T-shirt and not 100% cotton. Know that cotton will keep the perspiration on you, which will heat up in the sun and with your body temperature. Using technical type clothing will allow sweat to evaporate and circulate air between the T-shirt and your body. If the heat is too hot, wet your head or use foggers.

After-matches

When you end a date in the middle of summer, it is advisable to take a cool shower as quickly as possible, which will relax you and bring down your body temperature. Put on light, loose clothing with your feet exposed if possible. Beware of too cold drinks that could make you sick.

Summer is such an attractive time for padel that dangerous for our body. Take all the necessary precautions and above all, have fun.
