The upcoming extension and renovation of the Club Med “Buccaneers” in Martinique will see the complex expand and offer padel.

A colossal investment

The club being particularly large and offering a fairly large range of activities (kitesurfing, scuba diving, tennis, kayaking and many other activities), it is therefore quite logical that the renovation work is particularly expensive.

37 million, like the price in euros of the investment that will be made within the club, in order to proceed with its extension and its renovation.

This project concerns the extension of the Resort, with the creation of a “Zen Oasis”, a space comprising 56 new rooms including 20 suites, as well as a new swimming pool.

In the lot: the rooms, the reception, the bar, the theater, the spa and the sports areas with the creation of tracks from padel.

The number of courts that will be available is not yet stipulated but it is clear that there will be at least two, which is already good proof of the attractiveness of the discipline.

This work will be carried out in successive phases and will goal final delivery in November 2024,

Not a first attempt for Club Med..

The arrival of these short padel is not a first for Club Med. Indeed, the group had already proceeded with the installation of tracks in its Seychelles club and also within the Club Med Magna Marbella.

Interviewed last year, Remi Edmond (new experiences product manager at Club Med) had told us all the good things he thought about padel, even going so far as to say that: “The padel corresponds to the DNA of Club Med”.

Strong words, which clearly confirm the vision that the group has vis-à-vis the padel which he considers not as a fad, but as a pillar of the future on which he will have to rely more and more when developing his new range of activities.

Nasser Hoverini

Passionate about football, I discovered the padel in 2019. Since then, it's been crazy love with this sport to the point of abandoning my favorite sport.
