La French Tennis Federation continues to bet on high level in tennis. With the launch of Elite FFT Challenge. This is a strong signal for athletes: The FFT is always more involved.

"Elite FFT Challenge": For whom?

The Challenge Elite FFT is aimed at professional tennis players who are eligible for the qualifications or tables of the Grand Chelem. This means that there could be a very high level with 3 elite tennis events in July!

Even if for the moment we don't know precisely the profiles of players who will be present in the competition, we can imagine everything. Many things will also depend on the budget put on the table to attract headliners.

It is a great springboard to prepare for the resumption of international tennis events.

"Elite FFT Challenge": When?

3 events will take place from July 6 to 25:

  • From July 6 to 11 at the Combes Tennis club in Nice.
  • From July 13 to 18 at ASLM Cannes Tennis.
  • From July 20 to 25 at the Vanade Tennis Club in Villeneuve-Loubet.

- ASLM Cannes Tennis (July 13-18)

- Vanade tennis club in Villeneuve-Loubet (July 20 to 25)

"Elite FFT Challenge": Number of participants?

The men's competition will bring together 24 players.

For the ladies, this circuit will bring together 12 players

These players must be eligible for the qualifications and tables of the tournaments of the Grand Chelem.

The FFT keeps 4  wild-cards for gentlemen and 2 for ladies.

"Elite FFT Challenge": The format

Group stage composed of 3 players, qualifier for the quarter-finals.

The matches will be played at the best of three sets with a super tie-break in the third round.

All will compete on three tournaments on hard surface or clay (the surface will be determined according to the organization or not of the American tour).

The semi-finals and finals will be broadcast on FFT TV.
