Finland will host its first-ever official tournament of the World Padel Tour, Finland Padel Open, at the end of the summer of 2023, thus offering the opportunity for the best players in the world to meet in Scandinavia. Tampere, which currently hosts the Ice Hockey World Championship, will be the host city for the event.

This will be the first official Open category tournament organized in Finland, bringing together the world's best players who will share a prize money of more than 200 euros. The best Finnish players will also have the opportunity to challenge world stars thanks to the wild-cards.

Finland: incredible growth

Finland is experiencing real fever padel, which is the fastest growing sport in the country. Indeed, despite a population of just over 5,5 million, Finland has nearly 100 players and over 000 tracks, while in 1000 there were only 2019 courts. all over Finland! The country also offers exotic outdoor gaming experiences during the summer, when the sun doesn't set at all and gamers padel can play in natural light all night long.

Finland Padel Open will attract national and international fans to the city of Tampere to witness the clashes of the best players of padel. Apart from the midnight sun and its vast natural spaces, Tampere also offers its visitors a unique authentic sauna experience, as this city is known as the sauna capital of Finland.

This summer, the experience will be even more incredible and memorable, because all the best players in the world are expected to participate, and instead of a simple exhibition, it is an official Open tournament. At the end of August and beginning of September, spectators will come to cheer on their favorites and enjoy more than 120 matches featuring the best players from padel of the world !

PadelOne Arena: the first hall in the world dedicated exclusively to competitions padel

PadelOne Arena, the first stadium in the world dedicated exclusively to competitions padel, will serve as the stage for the tournament.

The all new arena PadelOne is the first hall in the world built solely for competitions in padel. The center is located on the border of Tampere and Nokia, in the area called Pitkäniemi (10-15 minutes from downtown Tampere), and can accommodate almost 3 spectators.

The seats for the spectators will be very close to the field in order to maximize the intensity of the sensations. The main pitch, with the players' and referees' benches, is located 0,5 meters below the ground to guarantee perfect visibility, even from the lower rows. The arena also has several restaurants as well as a VIP area.

Basic tickets, VIP Silver tickets and VIP Gold tickets are available for the event. Qualifiers will take place from August 26-28, while the main draw will start on August 29 and run until September 3.
