France vs Italy: This will be the program for tomorrow Saturday at the Bola Padel Club de Rome, venue for the European Championships padel by teams 2019. Matches scheduled on a spectacular central pitch, with sold-out tickets where the French will have to fight against Italy both on the pitch and in the public.

These European championships end in apotheosis. This day of Friday was extraordinary by the level of play proposed by all teams on the field. Team matches where the public, frustrated by the rain, warmed up by giving voice. Review the results and the highlights of the day.

The day started with the women's semifinals.

The rain having made its appearance, the matches of the Italian selection could not take advantage of the atmosphere of the central ground. Moved to covered ground, only a few spectators could follow the meeting between this Italian team and Great Britain.

We remain impressed by what Britain has proposed this week. Young talented players with a lot of future in mind. An over-experienced Italy team gives the 3 victory points.

At the same time, the other semi-final was played: France - Netherlands. The Dutch team, who came to take advantage of these European championships and learn about the padel in Europe, defended itself very well against a “too” solid French team. Note that the support of the players and families present helped to this great victory which gives access to the final.

The morning was also animated by a clinic of Fernando Belasteguin and Pablo Lima that allowed some privileged people to share some relaxed moments.

The afternoon begins with the men's finals of the Open tournament. An incredible match. Coki Nieto and Matias Marina win the first set without much difficulty. It was not counting on the reaction of Ernesto Moreno and Gonzalo Rubio. Very solid in the second set, they open the doors of the third. A third set that goes to tie-break which finally falls in the pocket of Coki and Matias, too solid.

Then it was the turn of the French against Great Britain. Two incredible first matches. An extraordinary atmosphere where both the British and the French lived with their hearts what was happening on the ground. So the first two very close matches. Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron faced the tough team formed by Samuel Jones and Sandy Farquharson. A young team, to be shaped in particular by the coach, who promises great things in the future. Score: 6/4 6/3

The second game was the most hooked of the whole day. Jérémy Scatena and Robin Haziza played against Britain's number one pair, Richard Brooks and Christian Medina-Murphy, two known players from the World Padel Tour. An atmosphere worthy of a Davis Cup final, a public dedicated to the cause and above all, a very good spirit on the ground. The first set fell on the English side with a tie-break won very easily. In revenge, the French won the tie-break of the second set in the same way. The third set will be just as tense. A single break made by the French pair will make the difference in the end.

After a celebration worthy of the name, the pair Maigret / Lopes will play against Oliver White, an experienced player and the young Alfonso Patacho. This match will be for the sport.

The day ends with the women's final between a Spanish pair and a French pair. Marta Talavan and Veronica Virseda shared the track with French number 1, Jessica Ginier and Alix Collombon. A rebounding match where the Spanish have always remained ahead, despite a big fight from the French to pick up the score. Final score 6 / 4 6 / 4.
