The number 4 seed Chingotto and Tello got the better of the 100% French pair Bergeron/Leygue tonight at Roland-Garros. At the dawn of the round of 8, there is unfortunately no longer a French representative on the Greenweez Premier Padel Major. Indeed, after Bastien Blanque and Adrien Maigret this afternoon, it was Johan Bergeron and Thomas Leygue who left this Wednesday evening.

The fault of a Chingotto / Tello pair far too solid for our Blues. Yet the tricolors did not deserve in this match.

Staying in touch through the first 6 games, the Frenchies were true to what they had said yesterday : "We will use our experience against the Belasteguin / Coello pair in Toulouse". Taking advantage of the fast conditions to send winning smashes, the players coached by Mati Diaz held on and the scoreboard indicated 3/3.

However from the 7th game, the match changed. Starting to make more mistakes, the Bergeron / Leygue pair bent little by little. Without warning, Chingotto and Tello picked up speed, enough to win the first set 6-3.

The second set was quite similar. Unfortunately, the tricolors were broken much earlier this time. Again we had the feeling that as soon as the Argentinians wanted to accelerate, Thomas and Johan could not fight. Unsurprisingly, the seeded 4 flew to a victory in two sets.

Final score: Chingotto/Tello win 6-3 6-2
