We know a little more about the stage Premier Padel which will take place in Argentina from May 20 to 26 thanks to our colleagues at Padel Latam Sport.
Remember that according to the official calendar of Premier Padel, so we will have 25 stages including 6 stages which will take place in South America:
- 2 in Mexico
- 1 in Chile
- 1 in Venezuela
- 1 in Paraguay
- 1 in Argentina
We have already talked about it: just one stop in Argentina is really not much when you know that it is traditionally the second largest padel country. We will not mention all the Argentines who are among the best players in the world, but in the men's competition, Sanyo and Bela brought home the decisive point at the last world championships in Doha in 2022.
So we could expect at least 2 stages in Argentina in the calendar. To the surprise of some fans, a P1 is not enough, especially when we see that Mexico offers 2. Sure, it is the country of origin of padel, but Mexico is today very far from Argentina on all points at the level of padel.
Furthermore, we do not know more about the location that was chosen to host this famous Argentina stage even though this edition is supposed to start in 5 months.
3 potential sites would therefore be in the sights of the organizers: Córdoba, Mendoza and Buenos Aires.
The stage in Argentina in Mendoza would therefore not necessarily be guarded by Premier Padel and yet one of its first events was the Mendoza Premier Padel, with the victories of Franco Stupaczuk / Pablo Lima in 2022 and Agustín Tapia / Arturo Coello in 2023 at the Aconcagua Arena. And the public responded.
Franck Binisti discovered padel at the Club des Pyramides in 2009 in the Paris region. Since then, padel has been part of his life. You often see him touring France to cover major French padel events.
