We recently talked about prize money de the Ultimate Padel Tour and equitable distribution between the male and female category. We hoped that this could be the case on the main circuit this season, the Premier Padel, but apparently that shouldn't be the case.

Already last season, the players were less paid than the players at the end of the tournament. This had notably been the case in Milan. The envelope of men amounted to 300.000€, against 170.000€ for that of women. Almost a prize money half as important, who got people talking.

It seems that for this new season, we are starting again on the same basis as last year. Equality would not be respected and, depending on the tournament, women could receive up to half as much as their male counterpart.

As an example, we can look at the specific case tournament winners in the three categories that we will find this year on the Premier Padel : Major, P1, P2.

MajorP1P2
Men's winners94.500€51.000€30.000€
Women winners49.500€34.000€17.000€

The biggest difference will be made during the Majors, with a gap of around Present in several = 50%, as well as in P2. A real leap backwards because, as we know, pay parity had been effective when Greenweez Paris Major Last year. As well as on the World Padel Tour, during the 2022 season.

It now remains to be seen whether this prize money will be distributed in the same way at each tournament... Anyway, it looks very similar to the end of equal pay between men and women.

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
