Le World Padel Tour has planned  a modification of the design of the court for the Final Master.  A two-tone court that matches the modernity of padel.

A criticized choice

As when any innovation appears,  part of the critical audience  instantly, feeling rushed by the change. Even more so when it's the first time that the blue is not the same.

Some people criticize because they don't like sky blue. Others are worried about gamers, whose pupils won't be able to adjust to the change in color. Some believe that the yellow ball will not be visible on TV against sky blue.

These critiques are moderately constructive, and you have to look at why the WPT made this choice to understand it.

A laudable initiative

The Final Master, to be held in Menorca from  December 10 to 13, 2020,  is a special tournament, because the 8 best pairs of each of the categories of the “best padel in the world” compete. It was necessary to make an impression, and  this design proves that this tournament is unique .

 The design has been modified taking into account the technical services  and sports, with feedback from players and coaches, more in favor of change.

“This is the first time in history that there will be two colors on the pitch,” congratulates the WPT on its website. This innovation may seem simple enough but it is  the gateway to other designs in the future .

With this kind of initiatives, which have the ambition to make the field more original, more visible on social networks, and more identifiable, the  WPT shows its desire to enter a new dimension. 

Professional padel is gaining weight.  The modernity of this sport  must be accompanied by regular and modern innovations that make it possible to  position padel as THE sport of the 21st century.  

It is notably through innovative designs and animations external to the sporting spectacle that padel will be able to enter theentertainment pure. So the WPT could attract more sponsors, more diffusers, and more spectators.
