We know the World Padel Tour va start in Miami in 2022, but what about the rest? This is what the season schedule should look like.

Several dates have already been confirmed by the World Padel Tour : Miami opening, Brussels in May, France in June, but also tournaments at Denmark, in Italy and Sweden. Mexico and Argentina will also be entitled to their WPT tournament again this year.

On the other hand, we did not know where the other stages of the year would take place, and our Argentinian colleagues from the newspaper Olé gave us an early answer. Here is the photo that was posted on their site:

WPT Provisional calendar 2022

As mentioned above, this is a provisional calendar but it still offers us a lot of information. First, we realize that these are 18 Opens and 4 Masters which we will be entitled to next season. 22 tournaments including 9 will take place in Spain. It is understandable that the circuit is resuming its internationalization strategy at full speed after having had to put it on hold a little because of the pandemic.

In addition to these 9 Iberian tournaments, 9 others will take place in Europe. Finally, there will be three tournaments in America and one in the Middle East. According to Olé, this Master will take place in Dubai, as in 2015.

Then, we notice that as in 2021, there will again be 6 challengers in 2022.

Finally, after a very busy year due to a calendar tightened by the health crisis, players should once again be able to take advantage of rest periods during the summer, in order to be able to leave in great shape during the second part of the season.

For the moment this is a provisional timetable and some things could therefore still change, in particular because of the evolution of the situation related to Covid-19. We should have more details soon.
