In the final of the 2022 French Championships, Léa Godallier and Alix Collombon won 6/0 6/0 against Laura Clergue and Fiona Ligi. A slightly harsh score, which does not necessarily reflect a match that seemed a little tighter on the track.

The Collombon / Godallier pair are for the second consecutive year French padel champions. Certainly, the two players of the World Padel Tour have lost their first set together in France in the semi-final against Lucile Pothier and Jessica Ginier, but in the final, Alix and Léa were ruthless. Indeed, out of the 72 points disputed, they won 52, that is to say nearly two-thirds!
And what you may not know is that they did not lose a single game in the two finals they played together at the French Championships. In effect, last year, Godallier and Collombon had inflicted a 6/0 6/0 on Élodie Invernon and Géraldine Sorel.
This is obviously a record in French padel. We tried to find out if there was already a precedent in other sports but for now this performance seems unique… And revealing of the progress that women's padel can still make in France…
