well i know feed allows you to have a better healtheveryone knows or should know. But do we have to eat well to play well au padel ?

Today, access to healthy foods is relatively easy. Unlike the days when the internet did not exist and it was complicated to obtain specific foods, today everything is simple and within everyone's reach, without leaving home. So no excuses, and onward!

The pro players

To reach the top level, you have to train of course, inside and outside the track, but you also have to have a healthy lifestyle that allows your body to act like a Formula 1.

Imagine you are a racing car, running on diesel, with worn tires, knocks on the bodywork and a tired driver. You will have less chance of winning the race than your opponents, who will have adequate fuel for their engine, new tires adapted to the circumstances, optimum bodywork and a trained and rested driver (if you compare this example with your body , the pilot is your brain!).

So with the pros, everything has to run like clockwork, and with the professionals, there are generally people who are there to allow them to evolve in the best conditions, including nutrition specialists.

If you're not a professional, it may not be important to be so picky, but should you neglect this aspect completely?

Nutrition for well-being

For example, you decide to lose weight and the padel seems to you to be the most interesting sport to achieve this. You will adapt your diet in order to lose the desired weight while providing the energy necessary for the effort. Indeed, it would be complicated to do sports without eating….

So it's up to you, or to be accompanied by a nutritionist, but first if you remove processed products, appetizer biscuits, pork, alcohol and sodas, to replace them with water, fruit , vegetables, white meat, eggs and fish, you will see that your body will be better off!

Feeling good often depends on physical activity AND good eating habits.

The one who has it all figured out

We come there. So there are those who are looking for performance, those who have a health objective, then those who have understood (we are not going to invite you to just overdo it anyway).

Those who have understood are those who will “enjoy” the moment because they know their body so well that it is even the body that will tell them to stop when necessary.

We are at the end of summer, one of the periods of the year conducive to excess: barbecues, aperitifs, drunken evenings, in short not really what seems the most suitable for an athlete.

People who have it all figured out will act as follows in different situations:

  • Episodic evening. You have a wedding or a birthday. You want to make the most of it and taste everything until the end of the night. The next day it is green, drainage with water to clean this excess.
  • A week of vacation. You are leaving with friends for several days of vacation. No question of missing out on all these great moments to come. You disconnect from your diet for a few days and when you return home, it's off to a period of light food and sport in order to recover your pre-holiday physical condition.

It's a pendulum effect. If you eat too much without exercising, it's not good. Conversely, if you exercise too much without really eating well, that's not good either! You have to balance.

Tell yourself that you will have to work hard to recover the bad food swallowed up, that's how it is. It's always easier to gain weight than to lose it, always easier to eat and party than to go for a run, shop and prepare healthy meals. Just because you'll eat better doesn't mean you'll play better in the short term; on the other hand, you will be in better health, so you will recover more quickly, your sight, your perception of the ball and your reflexes will be more efficient, your muscles will perform better, which will allow you to progress over time and to injure yourself less. Find your balance and head for the slopes… padel. Let's go!
