Carla Touly and Alexandra Torralba won the FIP Rise Biella in Italy against Marta Porras Sanchez and Alba Izquierdo, the tournament's No. 9 seeds.

For both players, this is their first victory in an FIP Tour event. Carla Touly is the 3rd Frenchwoman to win an event in FIP RISE among the ladies after the coronation of the French pair Invernon / Sorel in Angers.

Carla comes back for us on this final:

“We won 6/3 6/4. We broke in the first set at 4/3. My partner did an amazing job. I think I played well preparing for the points. We were both very synchronous.

In the second set, our opponents played very well and had a better start to the set. They made exceptional defenses. However, we managed to manage the “puntos de oro” very well.

At the end of the second set, we wanted it to end and made the choice to play very quickly, like tennis players. We were shaking so much we were excited by this end of the game. Alexandra was in tears, me too.

Next week we will play in Sicily. The key to the tournament will be the smile and the pleasure of playing, on and off the field. We have this cup, it's a first victory in a FIP RISE for Alexandra and me. We are truly over the moon.”
